Beach Haven

While I have designed my fair share of bathrooms, it is with great pleasure that the first one I post is my own renovation.

In August of 2021 we renovated our bathroom, toilet and laundry.

Removing all existing gib, ceilings, windows, doors and floors to replace with all new materials and fittings, with insulation added to the external walls making such a difference to the overall feel and warmth to these areas. The windows were replaced with double glazed versions, we added a heated floor to the bathroom and upgraded the fuse box in the laundry.

The walls and ceilings in all 3 spaces are 1/4 Bianca by Resene, with the dark feature wall in the toilet and bathroom in Resene Element.

Floor tiles are New Sandstone White in a matt finish by Tile Warehouse. Showcasing a 1200×900 Millennium Shower with satin joinery and glass shelves, a Norfolk Classic wall hung vanity with a matching Mahia 900 recessed wall mirror and Classic Tower, all finished in Prime Melamine Baroque and by Clearlite Bathrooms, with an upgrade to black handles.

All fittings were by Plumbing World North Shore and made matt black where possible.

Northcote

I had the pleasure of designing this kitchen for clients of T Brothers Cabinetry, based on the North Shore of Auckland.

With a beautifully finished native timber floor, the shaker style Ronda cabinetry of this kitchen is a gorgeous contrast.

Finished in Resene satin Alabaster lacquer with matt black handles to match the black stainless undermount sink, the drawers are Antaro soft close with Blumotion soft close hinges all by Blum.

A 30mm Cala Quartz bench top by Trendstone NZ and Stone and Joinery Solutions completes this kitchen in a wonderful way.

Due to a complete re-location of the kitchen there are no before pics, so to give a clear progression from concept to reality I have included the full set of concept drawings for this kitchen.

Narrow Neck Beach

The cabinetry in this stunning kitchen is finished in Half Gray Olive satin lacquer by Resene; with the negative detail done in the lighter shade of 1/8 Gray Olive.

Granite bench tops are 30mm Dark Granite. Hardware is all Blum with wall cabinetry fitted with Aventos HF Servo Drives with Blumotion throughout.

LED Strip lighting to under the wall cabinetry in the kitchen and drinks cabinet and also at the top of the drinks cabinet.

Milford

Completed in Blonded Oak Veneer with a horizontal grain and finished in a clear satin lacquer; this gorgeous kitchen also had the wall cabinetry and an end panel finished in a satin finish Resene Lemon Grass lacquer; to add a touch of soft colour.

A linen cupboard has cleverly been finished with the same materials to seamlessly integrate with the kitchen. The bench tops are 40mm thick and manufactured in London Grey Caesarstone; to complete this beach side apartment.
